Submitting a Recruiting Listing

Updated: Jul 27, 2021

Submitting a recruiting listing, publishes your teams profile onto the Sports Bridge search page, allowing parents to see your listing and fill out a 'try out request form' on your profile.

In this article we are going to be going over how to publish, edit and delete your recruitment listings.

Let's start by navigating to the Teams tab in the main navigation in your Sports Bridge dashboard.

The first time you visit this page you'll see two cards, a blue 'Add your first team' card and a yellow 'Add a recruitment listing' card.

Once you've added your first team, you'll be auto directed to the add a recruitment listing popup. If you close that popup by mistake, no need to worry you can easily open it back up by clicking the 'Add Listing' button on the yellow card.

Here you'll have a few options for your recruitment listing.

We can choose how many players we are looking to recruit for this team. In our example we are looking to fill one more roster spot on our team so we will select 1 player.

The number of players you are looking to recruit will show on your profile page so parents can see how many spots you have left.

If you have a scholarship available for this team, then you can check the 'Scholarship Available' box and that will show on your profile page, scholarship is also be an option for parents to filter by when they are searching. If you do not offer a scholarship opportunity then you can leave this unchecked.

Now your profile will show up on the search results for parents!

To represent that in your account you'll see a new card in your Teams tab showing the details we just filled out.

On this new box we have a few actions we can take.

You can click the pause icon to pause your listing, removing it from the search list but not removing it from your dashboard, which will remain available to 'resume' at any time. Once paused the status on the card will be updated to Paused.

Next, you can edit your listing, at any time, by clicking the pencil icon. This opens up the edit recruitment listing popup and allows you to change; the number of players you're looking to recruit and also whether or not you have a scholarship available for this team.

Once any changes have been made you can click 'Update Listing' to save changes or 'Cancel' to discard.

Next we have the option to delete the listing. Click the trash icon to remove the listing altogether. You can remove your listings if you no longer need to recruit for your selected team.

Lastly, we have an option to preview our listing. This combines all the information we entered when adding our team and the additional information we just entered when submitting a recruiting listing, and displays that information in our team profile page.

The preview page is exactly what a parents sees when they view your profile. This also gives you a great chance to look over your profile page and check for any spelling errors and make sure it's as up to date as possible.

There's a few items we can interact with on this page, just like a parent would.

Click 'Message' or the orange box highlighting how many positions are available for your team, to open up a tryout request form.

This is the form a parent fills out which is emailed to you, to reach out to them.

Once you are happy with how your preview page looks, you can click the blue back button in the top right corner to return to the 'Recruit' tab.

If you need to change any areas, you can update your recruiting listing, or update your teams information and those changes will be reflected in your teams preview page.

Information entered in the above example is an example on a team and not 100% reflected as a real team.
